He then moved on to a brief playing career at Bismarck State College before starting his amateur playing career. Josh has played amateur Baseball and Softball for teams in Minneapolis, MN and Bismarck/Mandan, ND, winning 12 State Championships and 2 National Titles while earning numerous individual awards throughout his career. Josh started his coaching career in 2016, coaching the Bismarck Americans for 4 years, winning a State Championship in 2017 and taking his team to Regionals in Denver, Colorado.

After a brief hiatus in 2020, Josh started assistant coaching with Bismarck High School in 2021 and decided to start 606 Training to help athletes in Bismarck/Mandan and the surrounding areas become better ballplayers through different drills and positive encouragement. In the past year, Josh has worked with over 250 athletes, both male and female, ranging in age from 6 years old, to college athletes and everyone in between.

Josh opened his own facility in Mandan in November of 2021 to ensure athletes can train with him year ‘round. Josh focuses on all aspects of baseball and fastpitch softball training. He does pitching, catching, infield, outfield, speed, confidence, and mental training for athletes wanting to build their skills. Josh focuses on 1 on 1 training in a private setting to ensure his athletes are engaged at all times.

Josh opened a new, larger facility in January of 2023 in Bismarck to continue expanding and reaching more athletes in the future. Josh is excited to share the larger space with Bismarck/Mandan and the surrounding communities and give them another option to train in.
